Proud to call Lexington, and District 2, home, Josh McCurn could not picture a better place to live with his wife, Paige, and raise their two boys, Adam and Chase, and their three dogs.
Josh has always had a passion for community involvement and service, which is a large part of why he chose to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He has always worked to be actively involved and to make a difference within his community. It is this passion that has led him to seek the position of Councilmember for District 2– to work together with the neighbors of Lexington and focus on their needs and the needs of our future.
Josh’s early commitments began as a mentor and coach for Lexington Youth Soccer Association, in which he continues to volunteer with each season. Currently, Josh is the President of the McConnell’s Trace Neighborhood Association and he is involved with multiple committees that serve for public safety, bringing neighbors together through events, and improving the overall community. Josh also serves as a Chair to the leadership committee for the Emerging Professional Network that is designed to bring professional connections together and create new ideas in their work environments.
With a background in community involvement and as a member of the small business community, Josh understands the importance of working with the residents of our district and listening to their thoughts, concerns and opinions. Josh brings a youthful energy to all that he does and is not afraid to take the initiative to bring fresh ideas to the Council. Josh’s focus is to work together with the citizens and all communities of District 2 to tackle problems and be a part of making Lexington an even better place to work, live and raise a family.
