From a young age, Josh was taught the importance of being involved and giving back to the community. His parents, Jim & Charlene, worked tirelessly to further their education, jobs, and build a brighter future for their family. Growing up, Josh learned to fight for what you believe in & work to make changes that better all of those around you, leading Josh to his studies at West Chester University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science.
Proudly calling Lexington home, Josh and his wife, Paige, have two handsome young boys, Adam & Chase. Josh volunteers coaching youth soccer with both of his sons, served as the President of the McConnell's Trace Neighborhood Association. Josh volunteers & serves on the PTA of Meadowthorpe Elementary, Masterson Station Parks Advisory Board, Animal Care & Control Advisory Committee, Commission on Veterans' Affairs, Lexington Area MPO Transportation Policy Committee, Neighborhood Action Match Program Review Board, Emergency Medical Advisory Board, Floodplain Appeals Committee, Industrial Development Authority, & Lexington's Distillery District Foundation. Josh serves as the Vice-Chair for the Environmental Quality & Public Works Committee, & in a committee member for the Budget, Finance, & Economic Development & Planning & Public Safety Committees. Josh believes in working to better Lexington not only for today but plan for the future of families, friends, & our home in the long term.
While serving on Council, Josh has made strides to unite our neighbors & neighborhoods, provide increased public safety to our community, add accessibility through bike trails, sidewalks, & ADA improvements, build opportunities that embrace our youth (playgrounds, programs, etc.), connect with our local businesses (big & small) to meet their needs as an employer & neighbor, & has worked to service the needs of each neighborhood in Lexington. Josh seeks to be re-elected as Councilmember to continue serving his community, building a better Lexington, together.
